By providing funding to verify business feasibility and working alongside HU faculty and staff and venture capitalists, we aim to help students acquire the skills necessary for entrepreneurship (drive, resilience, imagination, etc.) The program is open to students from Hiroshima University, Kindai University Faculty of Engineering, Hiroshima International University, and Yasuda Women’s University, and it is open to both individuals and groups, including international students. It has become a program in which students can acquire more practical skills, and some of the students who have been accepted so far have actually started their own businesses.Cultivating entrepreneurshipHU also places emphasis on entrepreneurial education. Since AY2022, we have been offering lectures to all freshmen on the theme of “Entrepreneurship” (drive, resilience, imagination, etc.), the skills necessary for starting a business. We also offer a wide range of educational programs and project support to encourage students to take on new challenges. In “Innovation Practice,” faculty members act as facilitators and hold group work discussions that bring together students with relevant parties from companies and organizations. Through the problem-solving process, students acquire the ability to combine different knowledge, skills, and fields and to collaborate with others.
