Furthermore, the aim is to have students reexamine Japanese culture and the concept of peace from a global perspective and establish their own identity. Studying abroad is a requirement for completing this program, and HU will support a portion of the study abroad expenses.▼In AY2024, HU launched a unique educational program based on the concept of “Japanese and international students learning together,” which aims to raise awareness and motivation to “study in English” through classes offered in English in the “Area Courses” of Liberal Arts Education. By learning about diversity in various academic fields and society in English, students will develop communication skills that enable them to serve as a bridge between different cultures.HU Study Abroad Guidebook“Kaigai Ryugaku no Susume” (Japanese page)Hiroshima University Fact Book> Number of Japanese students studying abroad (Japanese Page)Countries and regions of partner universities▲ A seminar for graduate students by Professor Eusebio Scornavacca of Arizona State UniversitySTEPIntroductionSTEPResearch abroad/internshipSemester Exchange program HUSA ProgramSTEPSTEPOnlinePrograme-STARTProgram(3 months to 1 year)START Program(approx. 8 days to 1 month)HU-GRIP,G.ecbo Program(1 month or more)19In 2014, HU was chosen for the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology’s “the Top Global University Project” Top Type (Type A).
